5. History: The 1970s-founded Wackies — by Lloyd “BullWackie” Barnes on White Plains Road in the Bronx — was established as one of the first and seminal reggae studios in the United States. From his days in Kingston, Jamaica, Barnes was heavily influenced by Duke Reid and Coxsone Dodd. In 1977, Wackies also conceived ‘Wackies House of Music,’ a record store devoted to not just the sale of music but an important cultural gathering point. To commemorate the efforts of Wackies, Supreme launched a small capsule of pieces utilising iconic elements of Wackies’ record label archives. A total four graphic T-shirts (one pictured here), a tank top, and 5-panel hat all makde their way into the collection
